Kyndryl Chairman and CEO Martin Schroeter met with India Prime Minister His Excellency Shri Narendra Modi for a discussion with other technology and pharmaceutical industry leaders on Sept. 22, 2024, in New York.

Modi highlighted India's economic advancements, especially in electronics, IT, manufacturing, semiconductors, biotech and green development, as noted by India’s Ministry of External Affairs. He shared the government’s vision to make India a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing and highlighted the BIO E3 policy to support India’s leadership in biotech.

The prime minister summed up the meeting by posting on X that he “had a fruitful roundtable with tech CEOs in New York, discussing aspects relating to technology, innovation and more. Also highlighted the strides made by India in this field. I am glad to see immense optimism towards India.”

Organized by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s School of Engineering, the roundtable included leaders from Google, NVIDIA, Verizon and more. 

Reiterating to the prime minister what he recently shared with CNBC’s Shereen Bhan and to the audience of US-India Business Council, “Kyndryl remains committed to supporting India’s ambitions for empowering women through financial inclusion, expanding its technology leadership position and strengthening the invaluable US-India partnership,” said Schroeter. “We are proud to partner with hundreds of Indian companies across multiple industries in their digital transformation journeys.”
