Sao Paulo, August 29, 2022 - Kyndryl (NYSE: KD), the world's largest IT infrastructure services provider, and Yamaha Motor of Brazil announced an agreement to help modernize and migrate the motorcycle company’s management workloads to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for business scalability and flexibility, allowing the company more time to focus on innovation.
Yamaha has grown in the last five years by 86.8% and has recently seen a significant increase in its sales as motorcycles purchases are rapidly expanding in Brazil. As a result, the company needed to transform its IT infrastructure to support new business strategies and drive more agility in sales operations.
Kyndryl’s experienced consultants worked with Yamaha’s IT team to re-envision the company’s transformation strategy to help prepare their current infrastructure for a cloud migration to enable more scalability and flexibility in all the operations. Kyndryl is helping Yamaha migrate more than 40 databases and 29 Oracle applications from an on-premises infrastructure to OCI in the next few months. With this migration, Oracle will handle the implementation and transition and Kyndryl will manage tracking the process and running the cloud environment.
Yamaha chose Kyndryl due to its extensive experience building, modernizing and managing infrastructure to host critical application workloads with the agility and speed of service required for rapid application modernization.

It will also enable the use of more than 80 services in the OCI which will accelerate the development and deployment of world-class applications. Kyndryl will provide management and maintenance services for Yamaha's Oracle and cloud applications, allowing the company more time to focus on innovation. With 24x7 support, monitoring and backups necessary for Yamaha's business resilience will be carried out, in addition to offering the necessary governance and security for the environment.
