Global glass manufacturer migrates to SAP S/4HANA Cloud on Google Cloud to execute real-time decision-making processes and elevate customer experience

MEXICO CITY, February 19, 2025Grupo Pavisa, a leading global manufacturer of glass and crystal products, has selected Kyndryl (NYSE: KD), the world’s largest IT infrastructure services provider, to transform its IT systems by using RISE with SAP services. Kyndryl will help Grupo Pavisa migrate to SAP S/4HANA Cloud on Google Cloud with artificial intelligence (AI), improving its production, sales, distribution and finance systems.

Led by Kyndryl Consult, Kyndryl will leverage its deep SAP expertise, its status as a RISE with SAP delivery partner, and its cloud and enterprise solutions to support a smooth and efficient migration, improving Grupo Pavisa’s digital capabilities and operational performance.

Founded over 70 years ago, Grupo Pavisa is a family-owned company with manufacturing plants and distributors in Mexico, the United States, France and Italy. In recent years, the company grew through acquisitions with independent systems, which created a redundant IT operating structure that worked in silos instead of working harmoniously as one. By seeking out Kyndryl, the company aims to simplify its IT operations and seize the opportunity to digitalize and modernize its production and manufacturing environments. Additionally, it seeks to base its business model and decisions on data with a single source of truth enabled by SAP AI Units for SAP production and scheduling.

“Grupo Pavisa’s strategy is based on a long-term vision of the future supported by innovation, technology and sustainability. The true impact of technology transformation is how it allows us to get closer to our customers and exceed their expectations,” said Luis Gabriel Martínez, Corporate Director of Grupo Pavisa. “With Kyndryl, we’re evolving from a traditional infrastructure-centric operating model to a faster, more agile model with better, smarter solutions. With this, we hope to improve execution, speed, functionality, real-time analytics and innovate with Kyndryl, SAP and their ecosystems.”

Working with Kyndryl, Grupo Pavisa decided to integrate its disparate operations with SAP S/4HANA Cloud on Google Cloud. By moving to the cloud, Grupo Pavisa’s CTO, Moises Meza Romero, seeks to simplify the management of its IT systems by integrating more robust platforms with AI, allowing it to focus on offering high-quality services to its customers. The manufacturer seeks to create a single database that integrates its ecosystem of customers and suppliers for its national and international operations, unifying its technological services and reducing costs.

By adopting the RISE with SAP solution, Grupo Pavisa will modernize its business model by accessing real-time data that will allow it to reduce delivery times and improve production, as well as create forecasting models to better predict the market needs of its clients, which include giants in the luxury, consumer goods and beverage industries. By digitally transforming the company’s financial foundation, Grupo Pavisa can simplify processes across its operations, enabling its teams to gain more real-time insights into its sales, distribution and financial activities.

“The adoption of RISE with SAP will allow Grupo Pavisa to migrate its entire industrial operation to the cloud and add AI to streamline data collection, information processing and analysis, accelerating decision-making in a highly competitive environment. Kyndryl is proud to support Grupo Pavisa in its mission to co-create the next generation of IT services that will help drive its growth in the market,” explained Carlos Marcel, General Director of Kyndryl Mexico.
