Kyndryl, a leading provider of mission-critical enterprise technology services, kicked off Career Discovery Week with a lively opening ceremony on April 3, 2025. This initiative, which connects high school students from over 140 public schools with New York City employers, provided an opportunity for hands-on career exploration.

In collaboration with the Partnership for New York City, New York City Public Schools and Opening Act — a local nonprofit dedicated to providing free theater and arts education to under-resourced schools — Kyndryl volunteers met with students from the Academy of Innovative Technology for the third year in a row.

Event volunteers included Kyndryl U.S. President Amy Salcido, NYC Education Chancellor Melissa Aviles-Ramos and dozens of Kyndryl employees, ranging from people just starting their careers to executives who joined the company from entirely different industries. Participants shared valuable insights on career opportunities, social media strategies and networking techniques, empowering students with knowledge and skills for their
future careers.

“I like Kyndryl and what it stands for because it is so community-based,” said E’mani Guzman, a senior at the Academy of Innovative Technology. “And to see other women in so many kinds of roles gave me a new perspective — there are opportunities to do cool things, not just the typical careers we know about.”

At Kyndryl, ‘Future forward education’ is a cornerstone of our corporate citizenship efforts. The company partners regularly with organizations to provide access to technology-enabled education and promote sustainable development. Our commitment to education and skilling is further demonstrated through the philanthropic grants provided by the Kyndryl Foundation.

By fostering such impactful programs, Kyndryl continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education and career readiness for the next generation.
