Kyndryl, a leading provider of mission-critical enterprise technology services, kicked off Career Discovery Week with a lively opening ceremony on April 3, 2025. This initiative, which connects high school students from over 140 public schools with New York City employers, provided an opportunity for hands-on career exploration.
In collaboration with the Partnership for New York City, New York City Public Schools and Opening Act — a local nonprofit dedicated to providing free theater and arts education to under-resourced schools — Kyndryl volunteers met with students from the Academy of Innovative Technology for the third year in a row.
Event volunteers included Kyndryl U.S. President Amy Salcido, NYC Education Chancellor Melissa Aviles-Ramos and dozens of Kyndryl employees, ranging from people just starting their careers to executives who joined the company from entirely different industries. Participants shared valuable insights on career opportunities, social media strategies and networking techniques, empowering students with knowledge and skills for their
future careers.
